The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is proud to announce its formal membership in the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS)—a global multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to strengthening integrity, transparency and good governance across the world of sport.

With this agreement, the ISSF becomes one of only 15 Summer Olympic International Federations worldwide to be accepted as an IPACS member, underscoring the organisation’s commitment to championing clean, transparent and accountable sport at every level.

IPACS brings together governments, intergovernmental organisations, sports bodies and independent experts to tackle corruption risks and promote robust governance structures. Their work is carried out through a series of dedicated Task Forces and a Working Group, which meet multiple times per year to address emerging threats and develop practical tools for sports organisations.

These include:

  • The IPACS Good Governance Task Force, which recently produced the Sport Governance Handbook, a clear and actionable guide built on the IPACS Sport Governance Benchmark & Guidelines and its 50 recommendations.
  • The Task Force on Cross-Sector Cooperation, currently finalising a ground-breaking guide for the prosecution of bribery in sport, to be released later this year.
  • The Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and Corruption in Sport, which has been analysing how AI intersects with corruption risks through a community-wide survey.

As part of the new partnership, ISSF officials have already been accepted into the IPACS Good Governance Task Force, which will meet next on 11 December. Having developed the Sport Governance Handbook, the Task Force will now shift its focus toward promoting its use and supporting sports organisations in applying its principles effectively. The ISSF looks forward to contributing actively to these discussions and to the broader dissemination of the Handbook within the shooting sport community.

ISSF President Luciano Rossi said: “This partnership is an important milestone for the ISSF.

“Being one of just 15 Summer International Federations that has joined IPACS is both an honour and a responsibility. It confirms the ISSF’s determination to uphold the highest standards of integrity and good governance. We look forward to working closely with IPACS to strengthen transparency within our sport, support the global fight against corruption, and ensure that our athletes and stakeholders can thrive in an environment built on trust and accountability.”
