Mixed Team Finals Highlight Day Two at Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship

The Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship New Delhi 2026 continued with the 10m air pistol mixed team and junior and youth finals taking centre stage on day two of competition, as athletes from across Asia added further medals in closely contested events at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges. The day once again demonstrated the strong competitive level across the continent, with several nations reaching the podium in both individual and team competitions.

The 10m air pistol mixed team gold medal was claimed by Uzbekistan’s Nigina Saidkulova and Mukhammad Kamalov, who delivered a consistent performance in the final to secure victory ahead of India’s Samrat Rana and Suruchi Singh, with Chinese Taipei completing the podium in third place. The final followed a competitive qualification round featuring teams from across the region, underlining the depth and balance of the discipline at continental level.

In the junior and youth women’s competitions, emerging athletes continued to impress. Rashmika Sahgal won the 10m air pistol women junior title ahead of teammate Vanshika Chaudhary, while Indonesia’s Asyifa Rihadatul secured bronze. In the women’s youth event, Priyanshi Purva claimed gold with Chinese Taipei’s Liao Ke Rong taking bronze. Team competitions in both categories also saw strong performances, with Kazakhstan among the nations consistently challenging for podium positions.

After two days of competition, the championship has already produced a wide distribution of medals across senior, junior and youth categories, reflecting the continued development of shooting sport across Asia. Competition in New Delhi continues with the conclusion of mixed team pistol events alongside the first rifle finals, as athletes continue their pursuit of continental titles and valuable international competition experience.
