"We are here in beautiful Granada for the ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol Granada 2026, taking place from 5 to 13 April, bringing together 434 athletes from 52 federations, with a total of 796 competition starts.
This competition is a clear reflection of the strength, diversity and global reach of our sport.
The Olympic Games remain the heart of our sport. Protecting shooting sport’s place within the Olympic Movement has been, and will continue to be, our highest responsibility.
Over the past years, we have worked with determination to rebuild trust with the International Olympic Committee. Today, we see the results of that work. Shooting sport is confirmed with 15 events for Los Angeles 2028, with full gender equality".

The Opening Ceremony concluded with a flamenco performance, offering a vibrant showcase of Andalusian culture and traditions, and providing a warm welcome to all participants and guests.

The ISSF World Cup Granada 2026 stands as one of the key events of the international season, bringing together elite performance, global participation and cultural celebration in southern Spain.
