ISSF World Cup Granada 2026: Shen Yiyao shines as Yao Qianxun fights back for silver in Granada thriller

The 10m Air Pistol Women final at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle / Pistol Granada 2026 took place today, 11 April, at 14:00 local time at the Las Gabias Shooting Range.

The eight finalists were:

China’s Shen Yiyao delivered a commanding performance to secure gold with 244.2 points, marking her first ISSF World Cup gold medal.
Her teammate Yao Qianxun claimed silver with 239.6 points, while Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic took bronze with 219.3 points.
Bronze medallist Zorana Arunovic brought experience and consistency to the final. As one of the most established athletes in the field, she adds yet another podium finish to her extensive list of ISSF medals.


At just 21 years old, Shen dominated the final from the early stages, maintaining the lead throughout with consistent and composed shooting across all phases.

In contrast, Yao Qianxun’s path to silver was marked by resilience. Despite being close to elimination on multiple occasions, she managed to stay focused under pressure and steadily climbed back to secure second place.

Yao, also 21 years old and currently world number one, adds another podium to her record with her fourth ISSF World Cup silver medal.
The final showcased a blend of emerging talent and experienced champions, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of women’s pistol events on the international stage.
