European Championship 25/50m concluded in Osijek

The European Championship 25/50m in Osijek, Croatia came to an end this weekend after more than a week of competition featuring some of Europe’s leading rifle and pistol athletes.

The final two individual finals of the championship took place on 16 and 17 May, closing a competition marked by several record performances and strong displays from both senior and junior athletes.

The 25m Pistol Women Junior Final, held on 16 May, was won by Slovenia’s Eva Vodopivec, who secured the gold medal with 27 hits after a consistent final performance.

Silver went to Valeriia Ganakova, competing as an Individual Neutral Athlete, while another neutral athlete, Aliaksandra Piatrova, completed the podium with bronze.

Fourth place went to Katsiaryna Ivanova, followed by Latvia’s Kristiana Agule in fifth position.

Czech athletes Anna Mirejovska and Viktorie Sindlerova finished sixth and seventh respectively, while Melissa Iarchuk placed eighth.
The final gold medal of the championship was awarded on 17 May in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men Junior Final.

France’s Arnaud Gamaleri claimed victory with a strong performance in the medal stages, finishing with 30 hits to secure gold.

Hungary’s Akos Karoly Nagy earned silver in front of the home-region crowd, while another French athlete, Thomas Clement Chinours, took bronze to give France a second medal in the event.

Aleksandr Kovalev finished fourth, followed by Poland’s Ivan Rakitski and Ukraine’s Ivan Martynov.

Germany’s Fiete Kuehn and Italy’s Loris Quarta completed the final standings.
The European Championship 25/50m officially concludes after eleven days of competition in Osijek, where athletes competed across multiple rifle and pistol disciplines at both senior and junior level.

The championship featured several world and European records, high-level performances and strong participation from federations across the continent, once again confirming Osijek’s place as an important venue within the European shooting sport calendar.
