The 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women final at the ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol Munich 2026 delivered a world-class contest this afternoon at the Olympiaschießanlage, with Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad securing the gold medal after a tense battle that remained open until the final shots.

Duestad finished with 358.4 points, adding another major ISSF medal to an already impressive career that includes Olympic, World Championship and European Championship success. One of the most consistent rifle athletes of the current generation, the Norwegian shooter once again demonstrated her ability to perform under pressure in major finals.
Just one tenth of a point behind came Great Britain’s Seonaid McIntosh, who claimed silver with 358.3 points in one of the closest finals of the season so far. McIntosh, a multiple ISSF World Cup medallist and one of the leading names in British rifle shooting, stayed in medal contention throughout the elimination stages and pushed the fight for gold to the very end.
The bronze medal went to Germany’s Anna Janssen with 347.4 points. Competing in front of a home crowd, Janssen continued her excellent 2026 season after recently setting a world record in the discipline earlier this year. The German athlete once again showed exceptional standing-position shooting during the latter stages of the final
American athlete Sagen Maddalena finished fourth after remaining close to the podium positions for much of the competition. The experienced USA shooter once again demonstrated the consistency that has made her a regular finalist on the ISSF circuit.

Switzerland’s Emely Jaeggi placed fifth after a strong start to the final, while Czech athlete Katerina Stefankova finished sixth following another solid international performance.
Serbia’s Aleksandra Havran ended the competition in seventh place, continuing her development among the top international rifle athletes, while Kazakhstan’s Arina Malinovskaya completed the final lineup in eighth position.

The ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol Munich 2026 continues with more finals throughout the week as athletes compete for medals and important ranking points in one of the season’s key events.
