Still only at the beginning of her senior international career, Esha Singh has rapidly established herself as one of the brightest talents in world shooting sport. Already a multiple ISSF medallist at junior and senior level, the Indian athlete showed exceptional composure and consistency throughout the final, extending her lead during the decisive stages and rewriting the record books in Munich.
Silver went to Germany’s Doreen Vennekamp with 38 hits. Competing in front of a home crowd, the experienced German pistol shooter once again confirmed her status among the world’s elite. A European champion and regular ISSF finalist, Vennekamp remained in contention throughout the final and delivered another important podium finish for Germany on home soil.
The bronze medal was claimed by Bulgaria’s Miroslava Mincheva with 31 hits. One of the most experienced athletes in the field, Mincheva added another major international medal to her career after a strong and consistent performance across the elimination stages.
China’s Shang Kaiyan narrowly missed the podium in fourth position after staying close to the medal fight for much of the competition. Korea’s Yang Jiin finished fifth, continuing the strong Asian presence in the final.
Vietnam’s Trinh Thu Vinh placed sixth after another solid ISSF World Cup performance, while Singapore’s Teh Xiu Yi ended the competition in seventh place.
Chinese Taipei athlete Chen Yu-Ju completed the final lineup in eighth position.
