ISSF Shotgun referee course concludes successfully in Budapest

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shotgun Referee Course held in Budapest, Hungary, concluded successfully after several days of intensive technical education and officiating development.

A total of 10 participants from Hungary, France and Greece attended the course, which was instructed by Yiannis Heracleous. The programme featured daily sessions from 09:00 to 17:00 focused on the technical and regulatory aspects of shotgun officiating. According to the organisers, participants showed great interest and engagement throughout the course, contributing to productive discussions and practical learning activities.

The course covered ISSF shotgun rules, competition procedures and referee responsibilities, helping participants strengthen their expertise and preparation for officiating at national and international shooting sport events.

Educational initiatives such as referee courses remain an important part of the ISSF’s commitment to supporting the development of qualified technical officials and maintaining high standards across the global shooting sport community.
