

In his address, President Rossi welcomed the young athletes to one of the most important competitions on the ISSF calendar and encouraged them to embrace both the sporting and cultural opportunities that come with competing at a world championship.
"Suhl has long been a special place for the development of our sport and for the athletes who represent its future. Over the next days, you will compete against the best junior athletes in the world, but you will also build friendships, gain valuable experience and create memories that will stay with you throughout your careers. On behalf of the ISSF, I wish all participants the very best of luck and an unforgettable championship."

The ISSF Junior World Championship Suhl 2026 will welcome 808 athletes from 66 countries and 70 Member Federations, generating a total of 1,537 starts across rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines.
Over the next eleven days, the world's most promising young shooting sport athletes will compete for world championship titles and medals, while taking another important step on their journey towards senior international competition and future Olympic dreams.
