Hosted at the Streljana Novi Sad Shooting Range, the event marks the first World Cup to be held in the Serbian city, which has successfully organised World Shooting Para Sport Grand Prix competitions since 2019. It is also the largest international shooting Para sport event hosted in Serbia since the 2018 European 10m Championships in Belgrade.
Beyond the medals on offer, the competition carries additional importance as athletes will have the opportunity to achieve the Minimum Qualification Scores (MQS) for both the 2026 and 2027 World Championships. Vision Impaired (VI) athletes will also compete as they continue their preparations for Changwon.
The World Cup features an impressive field of 52 Paralympic medallists, including 18 medallists from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
China arrives with the largest delegation of 21 athletes, followed by Kazakhstan (17), Republic of Korea (14), while Slovakia and the host nation Serbia will each be represented by 11 athletes.
Among the leading names is China's Yang Chao, a four-time Paralympic champion and reigning world record holder in the P1 Men's 10m Air Pistol SH1. The Paris 2024 double gold medallist will compete in three pistol events.
