The course is being conducted by Mohamed Wahdan of Egypt, Chairperson of the ISSF Shotgun Committee, who is serving as Instructor, assisted by Amar Jang Singh of India, Member of the ISSF Shotgun Committee, as Assistant Instructor.
A total of 16 participants from India and Oman are taking part, providing an opportunity for shotgun officials to strengthen their technical knowledge and deepen their understanding of ISSF Rules and international competition standards.
The inaugural session was attended by Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, President of the NRAI; Pawankumar Singh, Secretary General; Rajiv Bhatia, Secretary; and Mansher Singh, High Performance Manager (Shotgun). They welcomed the instructors and participants and wished them a successful course.
Addressing the gathering, NRAI President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo highlighted the organisation’s continued focus on education and capacity building. He noted that close cooperation with the ISSF has enabled the NRAI to conduct several ISSF education courses in India in recent years.
He also emphasised the importance of continuously expanding the pool of qualified coaches, judges, juries and technical officials across Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun to support the development of India’s shooting sport community.
NRAI Secretary General Pawankumar Singh expressed his appreciation to the ISSF for its continued support and cooperation.
“The support of the ISSF has been instrumental in helping us expand our education program and provide more opportunities for Indian and international officials to learn from highly experienced ISSF experts. We are grateful to the ISSF for giving us the opportunity to host these important courses in India and for continuously supporting our efforts to develop qualified coaches and technical officials.”
Pawankumar Singh also highlighted that more than 1,500 coaches, judges and referees have been trained at national and ISSF level during the last four years. He acknowledged the continued support of the Sports Authority of India and Olympic Gold Quest towards the NRAI’s education and development initiatives.
The ISSF “B” Shotgun Judges Course will conclude on 14 September 2026.
