The ISSF President visited today, 12 September, the Mattarelli factory in Italy to meet Ennio Mattarelli’s family and present a posthumous ISSF Gold Medal in recognition of his contribution to shooting sport.
The visit was an opportunity to honour Mattarelli’s achievements and enduring legacy, while sharing a special moment with his loved ones.
Representing the Mattarelli family were Ennio’s three daughters, Silvia Mattarelli, Manuela Mattarelli and Monica Mattarelli, as well as his granddaughter, Viola Cavallini.
The ISSF Gold Medal was dedicated to Ennio Mattarelli posthumously, recognising his place in the history of shooting sport and the lasting impact of his work.
The ISSF extends its warmest regards to the Mattarelli family and remains grateful for Ennio Mattarelli’s contribution to the sport.
