The opening event featured the traditional parade of flags and music, welcoming athletes, coaches, officials and organisers as the competition got underway.
Taking place from 12 to 20 September 2026, the event brings together promising young Shotgun athletes from around the world for a week of high-level international competition.
The first finals are scheduled for 15 September, followed by further medal-deciding sessions on 18 and 19 September.
With the opening ceremony complete, attention now turns to the competition, as the athletes begin their pursuit of medals and valuable international experience in Porpetto.
