The second finals day in Porpetto delivered two closely fought Trap finals, with Sakthivel edging Italy’s Francesco Tanfoglio by a single hit in the men’s competition before Del Rey Ruiz won a shoot-off against Italy’s Valentina Archetti for the women’s title.
Sakthivel holds off Tanfoglio
Sakthivel Muthukumaaar produced 27 hits to take the Trap Men Junior gold medal. Italy’s Francesco Tanfoglio finished just one hit behind on 26 to claim silver, while his teammate Simone Roncen completed the podium with 21.
Spain’s Jose Barrero finished fourth with 15 hits, followed by Italy’s Andrea Diana on 11 and France’s Louis Desert on 10. Spain’s Eduard Salichs and Slovakia’s Timotej Toth completed the eight-athlete final with seven and six hits respectively.
