The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) will hold two additional Town Hall sessions tomorrow, Wednesday, 28 October 2026, as part of the ongoing consultation process regarding the proposed transfer of Shooting Para Sport governance from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to the ISSF.

The online sessions will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to ask questions directly to ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo and the Working Group overseeing the proposed transition.

To accommodate different time zones, two sessions will take place:

Both sessions will cover the same core topics and provide time for questions and discussion.

Continuing the consultation process

The additional sessions follow the first series of Town Hall meetings held on 13 May 2026 by the ISSF and IPC. These initial online meetings brought together representatives from Member Federations, athletes, coaches, officials and organisers from across all continents.

Led by Adam Sachs, ISSF Executive Committee Member and leader of the ISSF Working Group overseeing the transition, the May sessions explained the rationale and vision for the proposed transfer, its potential implications for Member Federations, and the next steps towards the formal vote scheduled for the ISSF General Assembly in December 2026.

ISSF President Luciano Rossi, ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo and representatives of the IPC also contributed to the discussions, which covered governance, athlete pathways, event organisation, classification systems and the proposed integration roadmap.

The presentations and further information from the first series of Town Hall sessions are available here.
Supporting an open dialogue

The Town Hall sessions are part of the ISSF's ongoing commitment to engaging with Member Federations and the wider shooting sport community throughout 2026. They offer stakeholders an opportunity to seek clarification, raise questions and better understand the proposed transition ahead of the decision to be taken by ISSF Member Federations at the General Assembly in December 2026.
