After the World Champion title won this year in Zagreb, and the two medals reached during the World Cup, the Chinese athlete Du Li won here in Granada the 10m Air Rifle women final.

Here at the 2006 ISSF World Cup Final in Granada, the Chinese champion Du Li struck another gold in her incredible shooting season, closing the 10m Air Rifle Women event all ahead with a total of 504.6 points, only a few tenth far from the World Record. She had started the final in the best way possible, entering with an equaled qualification´s World Record score of 400 points, leaving her opponents two points behind on the start line. Without any hesitation, the Olympic Champion of Athens 2004 went trough the round never going under ten points, and won for the second year consecutively the World Cup Final., another great results in this shooting season that has already saw her on the highest step of the World Championship podium two months ago in Zagreb. It was exciting to follow the fight for the silver that exploded behind her between the German Sonya Pfeilschifter, Katerina Kurkova of Czech Republic and the second Chinese finalist Zhao Yinghui. While Kurkova payed two poor shoots sliding down in forth position, Pfeilschifter and Zhao kept shooting head to head right to the end, when was the Chinese athlete to win the duel for the second step of the podium, placing in second with 503.6 points.
Winning a shoot-off against Olga Dovgun (KAZ), Sylwia Bogacka of Poland scored 500 + 10.3 points placing in fifth, while Lioubov Galkina and Pavla Kalna closed today´s rank in seventh and eighth position.
