ISSF General Assembly - Lima won the 2013 Shotgun World Championship bid

50th ISSF World Championship All Events · Munich, GER

The location was voted at today’s ISSF General Assembly in Munich (GER), where the 2011 and 2012 World Cup locations were confirmed.

Today’s ISSF General Assembly taking place at the Hilton Park Hotel in Munich voted for the location of the 2013 ISSF separate Shotgun World Championship.

Lima won the bid, with a strong application for the 2013 World Championship that received the support of the Peru’s Sport Minister, National Olympic Committee and Air Forces.  The championship will indeed be hosted by the Air Forces Shooting Range of Lima, which is currently equipped with four combined layouts with Rossini equipment. Within 2013, a new layout will be constructed, as the organizers announced, in order to host a successful World Championship.

During today’s General Assembly, the dates of the 2011 World Cup Stages were confirmed (the dates are already published in the ISSF online calendar), and the locations of the 2012 World Cups were reaffirmed after they had been after Monday’s ISSF Executive Committee Meetings.
